On 27 February 2023, Dr. Kaku and Dr. Aaya Matsuu from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Japan (NIID) paid a courtesy call on the Director of the Department of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. They are on a two-day (27th and 28th February 2023) visit to Bhutan as a part of a research collaboration between the National Center for Animal Health (NCAH), Royal Center for Disease Control (RCDC) and NIID.
